LONGi participated in the event to share its insights into the enhancement of photovoltaic cell conversion efficiencies and the ongoing reduction of the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE), promoting the pivotal role of photovoltaics in the global energy transition and, specifically, the decarbonization of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) economies.
?"Energy, being a key element in the pursuit of carbon neutrality, is confronting what could be described as a 'trilemma'. In addressing this complex challenge, we at LONGi believe that photovoltaics will play a crucial role in the worldwide energy transition. There is a pressing need to reshape the global energy landscape, with electricity emerging as the primary energy carrier," states Brad Li, President of LONGi's Americas Region, DG.
Li, in emphasizing LONGi's commitment to excellence, highlighted the company's continuous pursuit of high-quality and high-efficiency cell technology, a prime example being the announcement in early November of the groundbreaking achievement of its self-developed crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem cell reaching an efficiency of 33.9%, setting a new global record.
